UK & IRELAND EVENTS CALENDAR
The PAA UK & IRELAND does not run all events listed here - we run REGIONAL tournaments January to June & NATIONAL championships for Novices & Pros in October & November. If you are new, learn how to pull safely with an established club first - (see clubs page) & read the FAQ & other information available on this site. You will be asked at PAA competitions at registration which club you are with & the PAA reserve the right to refuse entry to prevent injury to inexperienced. PAA competitions are for adults over 18 years old. Independent promotions listed here may have different entry requirements. The Presidents Bulletin (home page) which happens every week on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday will publicise newly announced competitions & give reminders - details will be added here with promoters contact details.

Weigh in on day only - 0930-1130
Pulling starts at 1200.
All in WARZONE format for NOVICE & PROS. Masters are calculated in the warzone as well as the novices & pros.
Ladies medals available if more than 2 wish to pull.
Entry fee: £40 (2024 PAA members pay £25 - see members page for details)
Entry is to the comp, regardless of how many arms pulled.
Yorkshire cup warzone final adds an extra round. First two to 5 pins advance to best of three final for the Yorkshire cup. Other places decided by countup.

As in all PAA competitions, some safety training needs to be undertaken with a recognised club or pro armwrestler prior to the event. If you don't know one in your area, look on the clubs page for more information.

UDEZUMOU UK TAG WARZONE '25
If your style of Armwrestling relies on the vague voodoo of strap technique & strict rules, if you have delicate elbows or feelings, this isn't for you. Udezumou UK is Dan Earthquake's annual experimental lab held on the first Sunday after New Years Day.
After Dan's visit to the 2019 All Japan Arm Sumo Championships, Udezumou UK has developed into TAG TEAM Arm Sumo on a round table. Warzone format was developed here so it is only fitting that it returns back to round table now fully fledged. We had to dumb it down for PAA individual comps, but with tag teams (mixed teams welcome) it's full fat extra strength baby...No weigh ins (so eat, drink & be merry), no straps, no refs grip...get your grip before the crowd boos the ref into giving a foul for stalling...pin opponents knuckles to table or off for 3 count..running fouls unless a significant distance off the table surface or the back with advantage gained...winner stays on or tags, next opposing team chooses who challenges...first two teams to 20 pins & the next team to get ten is in the finals...winning team & runners up need 10 pins to determine champions...Billy No Mates can be paired on the day with another social misfit or be voted into another team by those present to pull under Freebird rules...If you are Bobby Big Bollox you can take on the tag teams on your own...After Tag Finals there is a bonus individual Warzone (only available to tag team entrants)- First to 10 pins is the winner ...prizes for first 3 teams left & right..prize for fighting spirit/best match...Last years Individual winners get names recorded on the Yamamoto cup & get free entry to the following year.

Entry fee per person: 2024 PAA Members £25. Everyone else £40. Free entry to last years individual champions Stuart Acton & Dean Bolt.
There is no free live stream entertainment for those too idle to turn up. If no camera nerds turn up some poor quality photos will be taken from a bad angle & thrown together with random video clips recorded on any old nokia that is lying about & the backing track will be the Udezumou drum band recorded in 2019 live in Tokyo. Just so you know to save you asking.
